How is palm oil bad for the environment

The palm oil industry has had an immense effect on the common rain forests of Southeast Asia. These man-made mono cultures are harming on a neighborhood and a worldwide environmental level. Our present consumption of items containing palm oil is unsustainable. Here are the principle realities why palm oil plantations are hurting the environment:
